Our gallery is mainly dealing with oil paintings and sculptures in which the visual portrayal plays part as social messages. The artworks consist largely of elements that can be called abstract—elements of form, color, line, tone, and texture. Our avant-garde artists develop abstract elements to describe, illustrate, or reproduce the character of human civilization. The departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art directly lead to the building of the artist abstract language. Our contemporary abstract artists bring different genres and sub genres of abstraction into the present day painting style. This influential avant-garde direction in painting derived from our visitors request for “strong and pure art”. Our artworks are not just mere visual representation of the world, our paintings are bearers of the spiritual dimensions and transcendental experiences. We are welcoming the major representatives of the 21st century Abstract movement worldwide, so we can establish a distinctly World style of painting. Our way to abstraction is a trajectory of connecting the viewer to abstract artworks that resonate strong social messages.

Contemporary art is not easy to understand and can be quite intimidating and/or challenging. Unlike movements from the past, the range of artistic styles at present haven’t been assimilated by critics, curators, and art historians and don’t lend themselves to fast and easy categorization.

Gheorghe Virtosu contemporary artists

Gheorghe Virtosu

Gheorghe Virtosu’s way of being in the world combines to perfection a straightforward and down-to-earth nature with a mystical and mysterious streak. His passionate nature has always urged him to follow intellectual and deeply spiritual pursuits, and therefore becoming a children’s author has fulfilled a heart-felt personal need, whilst at the same time bridged a gap in the market. From the very beginning, Gheorghe Virtosu’s writing has eluded all canonisation, contemporary and classical, since it cannot be labelled as belonging to any of them for definite.
